| Have you been
to the ER and been told no bones are broken? That's not good enough.
The spinal joints and nerve roots can get stretched and irritated.
Soft tissues around these areas can also be damaged. Neck ache, headache,
dizziness, blurred vision, memory loss, pain in the shoulders, arms,
legs, hands and lower back are a few of the problems that can occur.
Also a person can experience a reduced ability to turn and bend. All
of these problems/symptoms respond very well to chiropractic care.
After a thorough case history and examination, the doctor will determine
if your condition will respond to chiropractic management. If so,
the doctor will recommend a series of visits to help restore proper
motion and position of the spinal structures. Should you be involved
in an auto accident, please do not delay in consulting with your chiropractor.

| Low back pain
results in millions of dollars of lost work and untold suffering.
Eight out of ten adults suffer with low back pain by age forty-five.
There can be many causes: Improper sitting, lifting, over-exertion,
trauma or inherited spinal abnormalities. The chiropractic approach
to healing is to help restore a more normal motion and position of
affected spinal structures. This is done by chiropractic manipulation,
there by correcting the underlying structural cause of the problem
and not just treat the symptoms with pain pills, muscle relaxers and
anti-inflamatory drugs. |

| Sciatica is
a severe pain in the leg caused from compression or irritation of
the sciatic nerve. The sciatic nerves are the largest nerves in the
body, and about the size of your thumb. They are found down the back
of each leg. These nerves can become irritated or can be affected
by inflammation of near by soft tissues. When this occurs, doctors
call the condition sciatica. The bulging or herniation of the soft
discs which separate each spinal bone can cause this problem as well.
Injury to the sciatic nerve and its branches result in pain that may
extend from the buttock down the back of the leg. Other symptoms may
include foot drop, (the inability to flex the foot), loss of sensation
over the leg and foot, bladder dysfunction, impotence and loss of
bowel control. |
|
| The chiropractic
approach is to use carefully directed and controlled pressure to remove
the interference from spinal structures. This procedure is called
an "Adjustment" or "manipulation". Sciatica, like
other health problems that can be traced to the spine, more often
than not respond favorably to chiropractic care |

| Many sports-related
injuries involve the spine and the soft tissues surrounding it. Spinal
injuries can restrict range of motion, reduce strength, slow reflexes,
shorten endurance and decrease performance. Chiropractic care helps
restore normal function to spinal joints that are fixated and not
moving properly. Pain relief and restoration of joint mobility needed
for good performance can be achieved through quality chiropractic
care. Remember --- sports injuries among youngsters are often ignored
as "growing pains";. Regular chiropractic checkups can help
avoid problems seen late in adults. Whether you golf, play tennis,
bicycle, or bowl; the best treatment for sports injuries is prevention
and spinal balance. |
